From Intern to BBL Trainee
My first introduction to Ewals Cargo Care was two years ago, when I started my internship as an Assistant Germany Planner. From the very beginning, I felt welcome. The atmosphere, the colleagues, and the work itself really suited me. After my internship, I stayed in touch with Twan, and when I later needed a placement for my BBL program, ECC was the first company that came to mind. That connection had never really faded — which makes sense, since logistics has been part of my life from an early age.
Working and learning in balance
I’m now back at ECC, again as an Assistant Planner, though on a different team than during my internship. And once again, I’m really enjoying it. I get the flexibility to combine my studies with hands-on work supporting the planning team. It’s a win-win: I learn a lot on the job while also contributing to smoother operations for the team.
A team you can count on
It didn’t take long to feel at home again. Many colleagues still remembered me from my previous internship, and I quickly connected with new team members as well. "The atmosphere is great — there’s always room for a joke, but when it’s time to work, we all give 100%. You can really feel that we’re in it together."
Space to grow
What I really appreciate at ECC is the freedom you’re given. You’re encouraged to continue developing, share your ideas, and take initiative. My journey, from intern to BBL trainee, really demonstrates how ECC supports growth when you’re willing to step up and showcase your capabilities.
Whether you’re looking for an internship or a BBL placement, I can honestly say ECC is a fantastic place to kickstart and grow your career in logistics.
